This is a masquerade ball inspired by the film Labyrinth which is held every year in Los Angeles. This is my fifth year shooting this event. It originally started as a ball with a fantasy bent, but over the years it has morphed into something of its own.

While many of these images look like staged or posed studio shots with lighting setups, none of them are. They were all shot candidly and handheld with no flash in varying parts of a poorly lit hotel in downtown LA. They were edited in Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop.
